-- Our first morning at home after leaving the hospital, Paul sits at one end of the table and Ellie is in her swing at the other end. Paul is so excited to have another small person in our family and offers her everything on his plate. We play it up that she totally understands and is excited to try it.
-- Ellie smiling at me for the first time, yesterday. Not a gassy smile. A real, eye-to-eye, smile.
-- Sending Paul to the Jelly Belly Factory in Wisconsin with my mom, dad, sister, and niece... and having a date lunch with Mark at Emmett's in downtown Palatine.
-- Having the milk genie arrive on Day 5 post-partum. After a night full of prayers and tears, I was so excited to have the sensation of water balloons filling up at the spigot. (By the way, I never knew how to spell the word "spigot"...)
-- My mom helping, with a generous heart, with everything: folding laundry, holding Ellie, changing diapers, Wal-Mart runs, Paul duty in the early mornings, fried pork dinner, re-heating fried pork dinners, loving me.
